Nothing like a snappy article heading eh? I am of course referring to the twin gods of the internet pantheon, Usability and Load Time. Yes, they're important enough to warrant the capital letters. I'll be suggesting a couple of ways in which you too can be sorted for ease and whizz.
Surfing around all day on a T1 connection, many developers (and designers, who are just as guilty) forget how the average user sees the internet. I'm as guilty as anyone. The load speeds of this site are starting to bog down rapidly as more and more articles are added, and more and more users start hammering the server. Luckily for me this site is designed for the developer community. The majority of my users are on fast connections, and are technically 'switched on', so this site has few worries, but what if you're working on a portal site or a technical support area? The goalposts shift, don't they? Here are some pointers for making your users happier, and improving your kudos into the bargain.
